Established in 1920, FM GRU Tower Cranes began as a family company in the Northern Italy's biggest industrial location. Throughout the 1950s, when the farming economy was evolving into a manufacturing and industrial economy, the company was working in the metal structural sector and welded construction industries. FMgru was involved in building bridges for roads, pylons to convey electricity, a wide range of presses, forklifts, farming machinery and prefabrication molds.
The company began crane production in 1963. Eventually, the company pooled all of its resources into this one activity. The target of this streamlining was to reach the highest level of specialization in the area of lifting.
