One of the biggest reasons is to prevent risk of lawsuits if someone is hurt. Secondly, accidents cut down on working time. Third, goods and property could be damaged during mishaps. Nearly all mishaps are attributed to staff who are not properly trained. Employers are responsible for making certain that staff who are utilizing the forklift are properly trained in safety and risks. Never let anybody on a forklift who isn't correctly trained to operate the forklift. Your business should develop and post in a place which is visible all forklift safety procedures.
Instead of going through training because employees are required to, they should have a positive attitude in doing so. You as the employer should help employees know the significance of proper training. Let them know that they can injure or kill not only themselves, but other individuals, if they make mistakes. It is up to you to ensure that your workers undertake training seriously.
