Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, ever since 1962. Each day the company strives to help their customers reach their goals and deliver value since they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These models are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Usually, these units are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal alternative for jobs that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine can rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be vertically raised to below horizontal. Since the operator is able to maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile equipment. These models come in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as diesel, propane or gas configurations.
The articulated boom lifts are used for jobs that need to reach up and over obstacles so as to gain access. These specialized lifts are utilized for tasks which are not easily completed by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects within the work site.
In order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required before operating boom lifts so as to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to need many more man hours to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These equipment have revolutionized the material handling industry and have really increased productivity.
