Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is basically a motorized type of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Walkie" models and "Rider" versions.
The walkie model as the name implies, is made to allow the operator to walk alongside the machinery as they lift and transport loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of cargo over extended distances in warehouses and manufacturing operations. They are really fast and maneuverable.
It is not recommended to pick up and move tall or unstable loads because there are no safety cages on these models. A rider can be the perfect answer if you are searching for a cheap method for transporting cargo from point A to point B. If though, you should transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to use a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model might be the right choice.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece machinery designed particularly for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load in order to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Typically, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle that could work in smaller aisles. They are very handy pieces of machine in cycle counting situations as well as in physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
